Rethinking Library Spaces in Primary and Secondary Settings

Modern Library Learning Environments (MLLE) are about books AND people, spaces, technology, reading, creating, collaborating, noise, discovering and much more. This forum will be an opportunity to explore where the space formerly known as the 'Library', fits into modern learning environments and your school's planning for the future.

Discussions will include the role of school librarians and school libraries as space and service. We will include examining emerging trends and drivers influencing the re-thinking of school library spaces and share examples from the wider library ecosystem. Areas to be explored will include; Co-teaching and collaboration between the school librarian Distributed collections, shared collections, printed books or ebooks. Implications and opportunities for libraries in a complex world of lifelong learning.
