Secondary Community of Practice
Theme - "Re-designing the how and what of secondary education”
- Three half day hui creating opportunities for the sharing of emerging innovative practice between secondary schools in order to support, challenge and provoke ongoing transformation across the secondary education sector in Greater Christchurch
- At each hui we will be exploring the practical possibilities for configuring learning in secondary education. By convening the hui at newly developed schools it will allow us to observe and reflect on the implications for the wider secondary sector.
Educators from any sector are welcome and participants can choose to attend single or multiple hui.
"Enjoyed the structure of the day with the variation of individual conversations with student tour guides, the teacher panel and discussions within visitor groups."
"Was great to be able to see the spaces in use and talk to the students about what they are experiencing. The staff panels were a great idea, very useful to hear the journey they have gone through. Listening to the NCEA panel was very interesting and thought-provoking. I had so many more questions I wanted to ask. I could see ways in which we can apply what the Haeata teachers are doing to our own practice."
