In brief

During 2016, participants will be supported to learn, plan, coordinate, facilitate, self and peer review school community and stakeholder engagement projects connected with Grow Waitaha

Learning Objectives
Participants will:
• Understand scope of community and stakeholder engagement (CaSE) processes in the context of school planning
• Learn how to design, plan and facilitate authentic engagement with stakeholders of your school communities of interest
• Build collective CaSE capacity in school leadership.


The programme will include the following features for participants:
1. Learn and develop in a community of practice focused on community and stakeholder engagement
2. Use of peer learning and mentoring (Tuakana/Teina) to build knowledge, experience and capability
3. Opportunity to become a system resource with potential to mentor and facilitate colleagues in future cohorts
4. Use of an online forum that provides a complementary virtual space to support best and emerging practice
5. Recognition of acknowledgment of involvement along with evidenced and quality assured practice


The time investment for participants in this three (3) phase programme is estimated at:
— Training workshop 1: Thursday 24 March 9.00am–4.00pm

— Training workshop 2: Monday 4 April 9.00am–4.00pm

— Supported Implementation: ongoing
