Grow Waitaha, in partnership with NZIWR™, is offering a series of Wellbeing Activator events (one per term) suitable for educators from Canterbury in the secondary and primary/ECE sectors.
The purpose is to support schools and centres in Greater Canterbury as they continue to grow the wellbeing of their students and staff by developing whole-school community approaches that are adaptable to their “wellbeing journey” (ie: maybe they are at the very beginning or perhaps bringing considerable experience with comprehensive school programmes already in place).
This is about activating and providing inspiration to schools and educators in their wellbeing focus with students and staff
The first Wellbeing Activator is on Tuesday 26 March from 1.30-4.30 at the McFaddens Centre (64 McFaddens Road).
The theme for this first Wellbeing Activator is Wellbeing in schools and centres - the why, what and how?
This event will include;
- a thought piece from Dr Lucy Hone
- a number of schools sharing their Wellbeing Journey (Omihi School, Redcliffs School, Cashmere High School and Hagley College)
If wellbeing is an area that your school needs to focus on for students and staff then come along to the first Wellbeing Activator of the year and join in as we all work together to build wellbeing across our region.
