Year 7 & 8 Technology COP

In 2021 we are excited to be offering the Technology Community of Practice (TCoP) free, to all schools, Kura and Kāhui Ako across Canterbury.

What - Four full day (9-3pm) hui, 1 each term

We have listened to your feedback, ideas, and needs. By signing up for the four hui you will be supported in the areas and practices that you have identified as important to you and your learners.

Across 2021, the four days will support your practices in:

  • moderation
  • assessment for learning strategies
  • local curriculum development

And how these are underpinned by cultural capability and digital fluency

Why sign up?

The TCoP aims to enable teachers and leaders to collaborate and develop quality technology learning experiences for all ākonga in Ōtautahi.

Each hui will provide:

  • Collaborative activities
  • Workshops that develop your understandings
  • Confidence to provide quality learning experiences

When & How

The Technology CoP involves four hui (1 per Term) and a 1:1 mentoring session per term in your kura to support your goals.

WHO: Teams of 2 - 4 staff (requiring one senior leader) are invited to register for this full-year Technology CoP.  For continuity and change, it is vital that leaders & kaiako (must be the same people) attend the series of 4 hui and one or more of the group take part in the mentoring back at your school.

The facilitators are Catherine Johnson, Neville Myers, Angela Vermeulen & Kerry Hall who all bring expertise and experience in supporting schools, Kura and  Kāhui Ako with Technology programmes.
