Depending on who you are we have a selection of different ways you can participate.

Schools

Schools and teachers can access Grow Waitaha in several ways. Events and development opportunities will be available for all schools in Canterbury. To see what is planned and register for these events, look at our events section. These events are a great opportunity to talk and learn from and with other educators who are making changes in their schools and learning environments.

Parents and communities

Grow Waitaha empowers schools to engage, inform and consult with parents, whānau and community around the design of education for your context — an innovative approach to school planning and development. The model of education and local curriculum delivered in your school will be developed to meet the aspirations that the community has for its tamariki. Your school will be planning how they consult with you and partner with you on the journey. For more information on how this looks in your school, contact your Board of Trustees or Principal.

Students

If learners are at the centre of change then they must be involved in the process. Over time, expect more resources to help you play a role in the future vision of your school.
